The live-cd uses the printing system CUPS. All open source printer driver available in Debian 7.0 are included. In case of problems with your printer you may search the OpenPrinting Database for a solution.
By default a PDF printer is ready for use. All applications may use this printer to create PDF documents. It is the default printer after booting the live-cd. Printed PDF documents you will find in the directory $HOME/PDF.
Local connected printer are discovered automatically at startup or if connected.
You can add network printer in the printer configuration utility "Applications - System - Printing".
Some low-cost GDI printers of HP requiere a properitary plug-in to get working. You may install the plug-in with hp-setup tool. Open a terminal and enter the following command:
